Tara and I moved here from central Indiana January 2012. We moved here to be the pastor of Welcome Wesleyan Church. A move we do not regret, I do not miss the Indiana winters but Tara does miss the pretty snow. I have often said that we should have moved here years ago.

I got my ministry education in a non-traditional way, taking most of my classes through a correspondence like format. I finished my last few classes in an online format, all of which is sponsored by The Wesleyan denomination. I was ordained July 2021.

I like to fish, really any kind of fishing but my go to is usually catfishing. I have recently experienced jugging and once I get my boat fixed up and now that I have a gas powered motor I plan on doing more of the jugging. Many of my fishing experiences end up being used in sermons, so if anyone goes fishing with me they can expect to be part of a sermon at some point.

Being a pastor to a small rural church requires me to have another job. I have worked at the local McDonald's now for a little over 8 years now. I love what I do and it allows me to still do ministry at the church. It also gives me opportunity to meet new people.
